Born in Austria in 1967, Thomas Lang has been an household name in the international music scene for many years. The list of artists and bands he has worked with includes names such as Robbie Williams, B*Witched, Bonnie Tyler, G. Halliwell, Falco, The Vienna Art Orchestra, Gianna Nannini, UK Pop Idol, Sugar Babes, John Wetton, Ronan Keating, and many others.

In the international drum scene, nobody else has accelerated to the top in such an extremely fast manner in their career as Thomas has. In only a few years, he went from being a relative unknown to having become on of the world's most famous and in demand drummers drummer. He has played on every drum festival there is, completed many clinic tours throughout all continents, has appeared on the cover of most drum magazines and has redefined the term "technical drumming." Thomas goes beyond the physical limitations of what is humanly possible on the drum set. He has proven the unplayable to be the most normal thing in the world. He has defined the boundaries of technical limitations on the drum set. Thomas is the ultimate standard by which everyone else must be compared to. It's difficult to put in words. One has to witness it.

Appearing at the Meinl Drum Festival for the third time, Thomas will once again set the standard when it comes to technically perfect drumming. Thomas currently lives on Los Angeles, USA where he stays active in the local studio and session scene.

His two DVD's, "Creative Coordination" and "Creative Control" are still among the best selling drum instructional DVD's worldwide. His playing is constantly eveolving and raises the bar which defines technical drumming.
